How to apply

Welcome fellow Toowoomba artist. We would love to invite you to participate in the Toowoomba Studio Art Trail 2025.

The 2024 Trail Blazers had a great experience and all of them are keen to join us again next year... but there's a catch. In the interests of fairness to all local artists, we have a two-year cap. This means that if an artist has participated on our Trail for two years running, they are required to step aside and allow new artists to step in. We believe that this offers everyone a fair go because we limit our number of studios to 15 per year.

 

Keeping our Trail to a manageable size means that our visitors will have time visit all of our studios in a day (at a push) or a weekend. It also means that we keep the Trail fresh and interesting for our annual visitors, offering new studios and artists to meet each year. On the chance that we don't receive 15 new applicants, then the selection process for 'old' artists to participate will be based on their previous stats, proactivity, contribution and feedback.

We work together to promote and share our Trail, so each artist is expected to attend the meetings and events prior to and after September. Each year, the week before our Trail begins, we run an 'Artists Trail' where all participants spend a day together to meet, visit all of the studios and enjoy lunch on the way. It's a great day and gives us all the opportunity to see everyone's studio and be welcomed into our Artist Community. We are all about community; everyone takes part in promoting, distributing brochures and signs and being an active member to make this event great for all of us.
